Family-owned San Diego-based Mexican taqueria, Valerie's Taco Shop, will soon open a new location in the North County community of Carlsbad.
Valerie's Taco Shop was founded in San Diego in 1997 by husband-and-wife partners Steve & Valerie Swanson, who've since opened several locations around Southern California and Texas. The couple will soon open their newest location within the shopping plaza off Tamarack Avenue in Carlsbad that also houses a Von's Grocery and Leucadia Pizza.
The menu at Valerie's is similar to most San Diego taco shops, offering burritos, tacos, tortas, tostadas, enchiladas, quesadillas, combination platters, bowls, salads, smothered fries & chips, and more. The Carlsbad location will also have a beer and wine license, so customers can expect a selection of brews, as well as soft drinks and aquas frescas.
