San Diego-born Le Parfait Paris French bakery & cafe will soon open several new locations, including a branch in the space last occupied by Beard Papa's in the heart of La Jolla Village.
Husband-and-wife French natives Guillaume & Ludivine Ryon first launched Le Parfait Paris as a farmers market vendor in 2013 before opening their counter-service downtown cafe in 2014. The husband and wife duo have since launched a locations within Liberty Public Market, The Sky Deck at Del Mar Highlands, the Anaheim Packing District, Fashion Valley Mall in Mission Valley, and within the Coronado Ferry Landing. The couple also operates Understory Bar at Sky Deck in Del Mar and The Sushi Stand in Liberty Public Market.
The newest Le Parfait Paris location will open on Girard Avenue in the 1,500 square-foot unit that housed a location of Beard Papa's Japanese cream puff dessert shop from early 2022 until it closed this past summer. In addition to a pastry shop and bakery, the new Le Parfait Paris will have cafe seating, allowing customers to purchase freshly made products and sit down to enjoy numerous beverage options. Expect a French boulangerie feel with a variety of sweet and savory items, ranging from croissants and quiches to pastries and sandwiches, all made in house, as well as espresso drinks, soft beverages, beer and wine.
In addition to the upcoming La Jolla Village branch, Le Parfait Paris will be opening a new location at Westfield UTC mall, taking over the space formerly occupied by Häagen-Dazs. They are also relocating their production operations from the Mission Gorge facility to a 10,000 square-foot space that previously housed Meals on Wheels, situated between Old Town and Mission Hills. The company will also open a cafe within the $3.4 billion redevelopment of San Diego International Airport's Terminal One, which is expected to unveil next year.
