Bun & Patti Closes In San Diego's Little Italy After Less Than Two Year Run

After less than two years in business, Bun & Patti "fine-casual" burger bar has closed its doors in San Diego's Little Italy.

Husband-and-wife team Elion and Amy Prodani, who relocated from Las Vegas, launched Bun & Patti in San Diego’s Little Italy in the space formerly occupied by Supernatural Sandwiches. Drawing on Elion's extensive background in fine dining, having managed iconic restaurants in New York and Las Vegas, including SW Steakhouse at Wynn Las Vegas, Bun & Patti was designed to blend the upscale sensibilities of a French bistro with the edginess of a New York City street burger joint, aiming to offer high-end dining at an accessible price point.

Despite an initial wave of buzz and public relations efforts, Bun & Patti recently closed its doors, quietly exiting the competitive San Diego burger scene without ever solidifying a foothold. The restaurant, located on the ground floor of the AV8 building on Kettner Boulevard, occupied a 1,500-square-foot space and held a full liquor license, though no announcements have been made regarding the future of the space or potential tenants.

Bun & Patti was located at 2171 Kettner Boulevard in San Diego's Little Italy. For more information, visit bunandpatti.com.
