Fernside & FairPlay Bar Owners Bringing Neon Moon Roadhouse Dive To San Diego's East County

From the owners of San Diego hotspots Fernside & FairPlay, Neon Moon is a new roadside dive bar opening soon in San Diego's East County.

Adam Cook, the visionary owner of popular San Diego spots Fernside, FairPlay, and Bluefoot Bar, is gearing up to debut his latest venture, Neon Moon, in San Diego's Lakeside neighborhood. Neon Moon will bring an old-school, country-inspired roadside dive bar vibe to the area, revitalizing the space that previously housed the Coo-Coo Club.

Cook has once again partnered with Shane Gerde, his collaborator on both Fernside and FairPlay, to create this new establishment. Neon Moon promises a casual and nostalgic ambiance with a spacious outdoor patio and a blend of traditional and elevated cocktails alongside a selection of cold beers and other refreshing beverages. The bar will be managed by industry veteran Nickey Bakke, who brings experience from acclaimed spots like Market in Del Mar, Tonga Hut in Los Angeles, and Austin Texas' famed The Continental Club.

Neon Moon will open on Wednesday, October 30, at 5pm, at 8203 Winter Gardens Boulevard in San Diego's East County community of Lakeside. For more information, follow Neon Moon Bar on Instagram.
