San Diego Smash Burger Specialist Eat Crispy Burger Unveils In Kearny Mesa

San Diego’s popular smash burger spot, Eat Crispy Burger, has opened its newest location in the bustling Convoy District of Kearny Mesa.
Founded in Encinitas in 2022 by Angela Ablahad and Ramzy Rahib, Eat Crispy Burger quickly gained a loyal following for its customizable, perfectly seared smash burgers. (It even earned a spot on our Top San Diego Burgers List.) After successfully launching its second location in National City this past September, in the former Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers building, the brand has now expanded with a third location.

The new outpost, located off Convoy Street across from Zion Market, offers the same signature menu as the original Encinitas location. Smash burgers, made with fresh, never-frozen beef, are cooked on a flat-top grill, with an Impossible meat substitute available for plant-based eaters. Guests can customize their burgers with toppings like bacon, pastrami, avocado, hash browns, and jalapeños, all served on brioche buns or wrapped protein-style. The menu also includes breakfast sandwiches, fries, onion rings, soft drinks, cookies, milkshakes, and a kid’s menu.

Looking ahead, Eat Crispy Burger plans to open additional locations in Oceanside (in the former Miss Kim's by That Boy Good space) and at Regents Plaza Marketplace in La Jolla (in the old Spitfire Tacos unit).

Eat Crispy Burger is now open at 4898 Convoy Street, Suite 103, in San Diego’s Kearny Mesa. For more information, visit CrispyBurger.com.
