Keg N Bottle was founded in San Diego in 1981 by the late Najib Konja, and the chain of liquor stores is now operated by son Tony Konja and his brothers, Randy and Robert. There are currently stores throughout San Diego County and one in Santa Barbara, including locations of KNB Bistro & Bottle Shop in Del Cerro and La Jolla, with another previously planned for The Jefferson apartment complex near the I-5 highway in Pacific Beach.
The family recently took over the space that last housed El Torry within Windmill Farms Market plaza in Del Cerro for the opening of Del Cerro Pizza & Beer. The new eatery will specialize in New York-style pizzas, handcrafted with fresh ingredients, and paired with a selection of beer on tap. There will also be a selection of appetizers like wings, fried ravioli, garlic knots and jalapeno poppers, as well as salads and desserts.
