San Diego's Historic The Loma Club Welcoming New Management In 2025

San Diego's historic The Loma Club, a landmark that has stood the test of time since its origins in the early 1900s, is about to turn another chapter in its long and storied history with new management soon taking over.

Originally a part of the historic San Diego Country Club, which merged with A.G. Spalding’s Point Loma Golf Club in 1914, The Loma Club has evolved through various names and operators, becoming an iconic fixture in Point Loma. Featuring a 9-hole golf course, driving range, mini golf course, and a popular bar and grill, the property has been cherished by generations of San Diegans.

With the conclusion of its most recent management lease at the end of this year, The Loma Club will soon come under the stewardship of Adam Goff, a Southern California hospitality entrepreneur. While no sweeping changes are anticipated, the transition marks a new era for the beloved property.
The club was previously managed by San Diego-based hospitality company Good Time Design from 2014 until January 2020. In early 2020, Laura Johnson and Lukey Mahoney, founders of now-defunct You & Yours Distilling Company, took over operations, further enhancing the property's reputation. Their lease is now set to end, paving the way for new leadership under Adam Goff.
Adam Goff brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for creating meaningful, community-driven spaces. He is the operator of The Oaks Center, a 240-acre retreat center in Southern California. Goff is also a partner at Orchard Hill boutique hotel in Julian, CA.

Although no drastic changes are expected, Goff's stewardship promises to bring fresh energy to The Loma Club while respecting its heritage. The club will continue to offer its signature amenities, including the beloved 9-hole golf course, bar and grill, and 18-hole miniature golf course, which was added in 2021. San Diegans can expect a seamless transition as The Loma Club's new chapter begins in early 2025.

The Loma Club is located at 2960 Truxtun Road within Liberty Station in San Diego's Point Loma. For more information, visit thelomaclub.com.
