Baja-Based Lucky Irish Beer Garden To Open San Diego Tasting Room

Baja-based Lucky Irish Beer Garden, which operates three locations in Baja California, Mexico, is opening a San Diego tasting room.

Founded by Sergio Tostado Valdez, Lucky Irish Beer Garden was founded in Ensenada, Mexico, in 2020. The first U.S.-based beer garden for the company will open in San Diego's South Bay city of Bonita and will feature an array of Mexican craft beers, showcasing brews from renowned producers like Insurgente from Tijuana, Cervecería de Colima, and Wendlandt and Cerveza Cardera from Ensenada. The selection will also include local San Diego favorites, as well as collaborations with local brewers and vintners from Valle de Guadalupe

The culinary experience at Lucky Irish will be a collaborative effort with Sarah Lopez of Bonita Food Market and chef Jorge Aranda of Monterrey Ribeye Burgers. The menu will offer American-style pub foods with an array of special dishes that will change monthly when different guest chefs join the lineup. While the name might suggest traditional Irish fare, the focus will be more on creative, rotating menu items, though they will offer Guinness and celebrate St. Patrick's Day with classic dishes like corned beef sandwiches and Irish stew.

Lucky Irish Beer Garden is set to open on January 17 at 4068 Bonita Road in the Bonita neighborhood of Chula Vista. For more information, follow Lucky Irish Beer Garden Bonita on Instagram
