Founded in Encinitas in 2022 by Angela Ablahad and Ramzy Rahib, Eat Crispy Burger has quickly become a local favorite thanks to its customizable, perfectly seared smash burgers. Its rise to fame includes being featured on several "Best Burgers in San Diego" lists. Over the past two years, the brand has grown steadily, opening locations in National City and Kearny Mesa's Convoy District, and now adding La Jolla to its roster.
The La Jolla location, sited within the Regents Plaza Marketplace, offers the same signature menu that first captured the hearts of San Diegans. The smash burgers, made with fresh, never-frozen beef, can be customized with a wide range of toppings, including bacon, avocado, pastrami, hash browns, and jalapeños. Plant-based eaters can opt for the Impossible patty, and all burgers can be served on brioche buns or wrapped protein-style. Beyond burgers, the menu features breakfast sandwiches, hot dogs, onion rings, fries, cookies, milkshakes, and a kid's menu.
This isn't the end of Eat Crispy Burger’s growth. The next location is already in the works, set to open later this year in Oceanside, occupying the former Miss Kim’s by That Boy Good space. With its ongoing expansion, the brand is making a strong push to bring its crave-worthy burgers to communities across San Diego County.
