New Italian Restaurant Pezzi Del Mio Cuore Set To Open In San Diego's Midway District Of Point Loma

A three-decade-long dream is coming to life for two brothers, who will open their first restaurant, Pezzi Del Mio Cuore, next month in the Midway District of San Diego's Point Loma.

After spending over 30 years honing their culinary skills in some of San Diego's most celebrated Italian restaurants, including Allegro, Vincenzo Cucina & Lounge, and Panevino, brothers Tecovulo and Gaspar Mauricio are embarking on their own venture. Along with Tecovulo's son, Brayan Mauricio, the brothers aim to bring a heartfelt dining experience to the community with a restaurant name that translates to "Pieces of My Heart."

"This dream is not easy," said Gaspar Mauricio. "But we have always believed in the goal of touching the hearts of our guests, and that is what we will strive for every day at Pezzi Del Mio Cuore."

The restaurant's menu will feature a variety of Italian classics with modern twists, offering dishes like Ravioli di Aragosta, Gnocchi Alla Coaresse, Lasagna Alla Bolognese, and Linguine All Frutti Di Mare. To compliment the food, there will be a curated selection of beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. The Mauricios aim to keep their offerings affordable while maintaining high quality, combining tradition with innovation.

Housed in the space previously occupied by Sabor Brazilian Grill, Pezzi Del Mio Cuore's interior will reflect the brothers' journey and commitment to family and community. Guests can expect a welcoming atmosphere that blends sophistication with a home-like charm.

"We are passionate about what we do," said Tecovulo Mauricio. "This is about creating a place where people feel at home, where they can come together to enjoy great food and genuine connections."

Pezzi Del Mio Cuore will open on February 3, at 3944 West Point Loma Boulevard, Suite G, in San Diego's Point Loma.
