This marks the city's introduction to the Slice House brand, which has seen rapid expansion since launching franchise opportunities in 2022. The San Francisco-born concept, known for its high-quality ingredients and multiple pizza styles, already operates in several states, with over 130 locations either open or in development. As part of the company's aggressive growth, multiple outlets of Slice House are in the works for America's Finest City.
"We are so proud to continue our expansion in Southern California with the opening of our first Slice House location in San Diego," said Tony Gemignani, founder of Slice House. "With the help of our experienced brand partner Shayan Rajabi, I look forward to bringing our artisanal pizza, fresh pasta, and other high-quality menu items to the notable neighborhood and greater San Diego community."
Slice House San Diego will offer a wide selection of pizza styles, available both by the slice and as whole pies. The menu includes New York-style pizza, Detroit-style pizza, Sicilian pizza, and Grandma-style square pizza. In addition to pizza options, the restaurant will serve pasta, wings, and salads, with gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options available. Beverage choices will include local craft beers, premium wines, and non-alcoholic options like sodas and juices.
The Little Italy restaurant will have indoor seating for 12 guests, with a spacious communal outdoor patio that seats 60. Takeout, online ordering, and delivery services will also be available. Operating hours will be 11am to 9pm Sunday through Thursday and 11am to 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
The new pizzeria will be part of 2100 Kettner, a 195,000-square-foot mixed-use development that houses a mix of office spaces, restaurants, and fitness studios. Nearby businesses include Postino Little Italy, Body Fit Training, and The NOW Massage Boutique, with the restaurant situated across the street from Waterfront Bar & Grill. Its location just blocks from Piazza della Famiglia and Waterfront Park positions it as a convenient dining option.
