This year’s Wonderfront Music & Arts Festival will feature headliners Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Khruangbin, Peggy Gou, Daniel Caesar, Foster the People, Jason Mraz, Gary Clark Jr., Janelle Monáe, Portugal. The Man, and Isaiah Rashad, among others. The festival, now in its fourth edition, will span multiple locations, including Embarcadero Marina Park North, Seaport Village, and Ruocco Park. Organizers highlight its combination of live music, art installations, and interactive experiences against the backdrop of San Diego’s downtown bayfront.
Paul Thornton, the festival’s founder and executive producer, described the event as a reflection of the city’s character, aiming to provide a mix of music, arts, and cultural activities. Stephen Partridge, president of Events.com, which recently acquired Wonderfront, noted planned improvements for 2025, including expanded festival entrances and interactive elements.
This year’s lineup includes a mix of genres across seven stages. Friday’s performances will focus on electronic, hip-hop, and R&B, with acts like Peggy Gou, Duke Dumont, and Daniel Caesar. Saturday’s schedule leans toward indie, funk, and alternative rock, featuring Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Foster the People, and Portugal. The Man. Sunday’s lineup includes soul, rock, and pop, with performances by Khruangbin, Jason Mraz, and Gary Clark Jr.
Following its first sellout in 2024, the festival is introducing new ticketing options. General Admission Plus (GA Plus) is a new tier offering expedited entry, lounge access, and upgraded amenities. VIP tickets will include additional perks, such as private boat rides and exclusive lounges. Presale tickets go on sale February 12 at 10am PST, with general ticket sales beginning February 14. Prices range from $165 for a single-day general admission ticket to $899 for a three-day VIP pass.
