Adams Avenue Unplugged Returns April 26 With 80 Free Performances Across Three San Diego Neighborhoods

Adams Avenue Unplugged, San Diego's beloved free musical walkabout, is set to return on April 26, transforming a two-mile stretch of Adams Avenue - spanning the neighborhoods of University Heights, Normal Heights, and Kensington - into a vibrant tapestry of live music, culinary delights, and community engagement.

Attendees can look forward to 80 live musical performances hosted across 24 venues, including local restaurants, bars, coffee houses, and galleries. Notable spots such as Smitty’s Food Court and Lestat’s Coffeehouse will feature outdoor performances, enhancing the festival's dynamic atmosphere. The historic Normal Heights United Church will serve as the Main Stage, also hosting the Community Beer Garden, where guests can enjoy a VIP Food & Drink Deal for $25, featuring offerings from Ponce's Mexican Restaurant and Mission Brewing.

This year's headliner is Terry Reid, affectionately known as 'Superlungs.' Reid is celebrated as one of Great Britain's most remarkable rock and soul voices. His storied career includes turning down the frontman role for Led Zeppelin, recommending Robert Plant instead, and touring with legendary acts like The Rolling Stones, Cream, and Fleetwood Mac. Aretha Franklin once praised Reid alongside The Beatles and The Rolling Stones as the best England had to offer.

Given the popularity of Adams Avenue Unplugged, parking in the surrounding residential areas can be limited and congested. Attendees are encouraged to utilize public transportation, with MTS bus routes 2 and 11 servicing the festival area. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended to fully explore and enjoy the diverse offerings along Adams Avenue.

Adams Avenue Unplugged takes place on Saturday, April 26, from noon to midnight. For a detailed schedule of performances, venue information, and to purchase VIP Food & Drink tickets, visit adamsavenuebusiness.com/event-info/adams-avenue-unplugged.
