Tijuana's Saint Cocó Coffee Bar To Open First U.S. Location In San Diego's North Park

Saint Cocó, a specialty coffee brand originally launched in Tijuana, is expanding to the United States with its first U.S. location set to open in San Diego's North Park this summer.

Saint Cocó was founded by Jorge Ramos, a coffee entrepreneur based in Mexico. The concept first gained traction in Tijuana, where it built a reputation for consistency and quality across its growing network of cafés. As a franchise, Saint Cocó has expanded throughout Mexico and is now entering the U.S. market, beginning with the North Park location.

The San Diego outpost of Saint Coco Coffee Bar will be located on the base floor of the The Abington apartment building on Arizona Street and will serve a wide-ranging menu of coffee, tea, juices, and grab-and-go food items. The company roasts its own beans in Mexico and uses a cloud-based system to control brewing and roasting variables such as water temperature, pressure, and bean weight at all locations. This system is designed to ensure consistent preparation across the brand.
Saint Cocó also utilizes espresso machines developed by Esprofesso, a Tijuana-based manufacturer, alongside La Marzocco equipment. Most baristas at the new location will be bilingual, according to company representatives, and are expected to follow the same training standards set in Mexico. The menu includes a mix of traditional and flavored espresso drinks, cold brews, teas, juices, and pastries.

Notable beverage options include Nutella Cold Brew, Affogatos in flavors such as lavender vanilla, chai, and matcha, Matcha and chai-based lattes and frappes, Flavored lattes using house-made syrups, Cold-pressed juices and lemonades, and Milkshakes including vanilla, chocolate, and matcha. In addition to drinks, the location will offer a variety of pastries and grab-and-go sandwiches, such as croissants, kouign-amann, banana bread, and caprese and roast beef sandwiches.

Saint Cocó Coffee Bar is expected to open mid-summer 2025 at 3918 Arizona Street in San Diego's North Park. For more information, visit stcoco.mx/en.
